The female form has always been a challenging and beautiful subject to paint. Throughout art history, many painters have, like myself, discovered the beauty in portraying the human body, especially the female form. There are wonderful contrasts to be found in the naked female body between warm flesh colors and cool shadowy colors, and this search is a rewarding quest in itself. Also, knowing the anatomy of the human figure and studying it again and again as my eyes follow soft contours and rounded forms has been a constant source of joy throughout my life.
